TOTAL data erasing from the computer’s hard drive should be paramount to any corporate or home user when they dispose of any computer equipment.

Due to the precise nature of data erasing, the process takes time. In non-computer jargon, the aim is to rewrite the data to make it physically impossible to retrieve any information that was previously stored on the disk.

The only data erasing method used by us complies by the DEPARTMENT OF DEFENCE 5220.22-M DISK SANITISING STANDARD. The hard drive data is overwritten up to 7 times with different characters making the data impossible to retrieve. You cannot make it more secure than this!

We are happy to demonstrate our data erasing service at our customers’ site if required. The worst nightmare of any company or organisation is to find an old computer system they sold to a company for disposal two years ago turning up at a boot fair with all data still intact.

If a customer requires hard drives destroyed on site, this can be arranged. Hard drives can be dismantled and logged and all the parts are recycled.

Any defective drive that is unable to be wiped, we can then arrange for the drive(s) to be destroyed and provide you with certification of its destruction.
